Workshop Sparks Stronger Regional and Global Collaboration
Researchers from the West Nordic countries can utilize each other´s competences and resources in several fields and closer cooperation can strengthen the participation of the region in wider Nordic and international collaboration.
These were the key takeaways from the workshop "GLISFO: Strengthening Regional Ties" in the Faroe Islands on August 19th to 21st, 2024. A report on the workshop has now been published and is available here:

More than 70 researchers and other representatives from universities, research institutes and research funding agencies inthe Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Iceland attended the workshop which was held in the Nordic House in Tórshavn. The workshop was arranged by Research Council Faroe Islands in cooperation with Greenland Research Council, the Icelandic Centre for Research - Rannís, and the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network.
The aim of the workshop was to strengthen research cooperation between Greenland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands.
During the workshop several subjects of common interest were discussed and researchers from the three countries made contacts with other researchers working with similar subjects and with researchers from other disciplines.
