Funding Granted for Project on Foreign Affairs, Security, and Defence Policy

The Programme Committee for the Programme for Foreign Affairs, Security, and Defence Policy in the North Atlantic - FASDiNA - has granted 3 MDKK for a post.doc. project at the University of the Faroe Islands. 

This is the second round of grants from the FASDiNA research programme funded by the Danish Government and run by Research Council Faroe Islands.

The project which has been funded is:
Civil Defence and Risk Planning in Greenland and the Faroe Islands - CDRP
Project leader: Rógvi Olavson, Faculty of History and Social Sciences, University of the Faroe Islands in cooperation with Greenland University, Roskilde University and The Think Tank for Digital Infrastructures.
Funding: 3,000,000 DKK 

The overarching aim of the programme is to generate new knowledge on Foreign Affairs, Security, and Defence Policy in the North Atlantic.

Additionally, the programme aims to promote cooperation between the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark in this field and to support capacity building in this area in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

Previously the Programme Committee has granted funding for two research projects and six policy papers.
