Conference on the North Atlantic and the Arctic
Research Council Faroe Islands is organizing a conference under the headline Changing Currents -Understanding the Forces That Shape Our Region in the North Atlantic House in Copenhagen on 4 December 2025. The aim of the event is to highlight the value of science in the North Atlantic and the Arctic.
The intention is to bring together researchers, policy makers and others who work on topics related to the High North and the impact that changes in nature and geopolitics have on the living conditions of people who reside here.
The emphasis will be on collaboration between institutions in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Denmark. Neighboring countries will also be represented.
The agenda includes presentations, discussions, and exhibitions about nature and people in the North Atlantic and the Arctic with particular focus on climate change and the geopolitical situation. Please see the full programme here.
The conference will be an in-person event only and is free of charge. It is primarily intended for researchers, funders, policy makers, and political authorities, but everyone is welcome. Available seats are limited to 100 participants.
