Project leader Eina H. Eliasen

ResuméLockdowns, injunction to gather in larger groups, and social isolation to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus are attempts to shield the frail and elderly. But how does the attempts against the COVID-19 outbreak affect the health of our oldest residents? The study leverages on responders from the Faroese Septuagenarian cohort and aims to assess the current mental health (e.g. Satisfactory with life, Quality of Life, Depression, and Self-perceived health) of community-dwelling Faroese octogenarians during the COVID-19 period. Furthermore, to compare with the mental health outcome measured approximately one year ago.
