Deadline: Funds for marine research in the North Atlantic Ocean

Monday 21.09.2020, 12:00, gransking@gransking.fo

Research institutes in Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark can now apply for funding for marine research in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The Danish government has allocated DKK 25.5 million over the next 4 years for marine research in the North Atlantic Ocean, especially related to climate change. The major part of the budget will be granted for research projects via open calls. A minor part will be spent on administering the programme.

The first part of the funding, approximately DKK 4 million, is now available.

The maximum funding per project is DKK 2 million. Funding will most likely be granted to two or three projects this year.

Projects must include research institutes in at least two of the three countries. Research institutes from other countries can participate with their own funding.

The final submission date is September 21, 2020, at 12:00 GMT.
