The University of the Faroe Islands endorses Charter & Code

The University of the Faroe Islands has now declared endorsement of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers, referred to as Charter & Code.

Charter & Code, contains the European Commision´s recommendations concerning responsibilities and obligations of researchers and their employers regarding e.g. recruitment process and working conditions.

612 research institutes in Europe have declared endorsement of the Charter & Code.

The University of the Faroe Islands has also started the process towards implementing the principles of Charter & Code in their Human Resources policy. The first step is to conduct an internal analysis comparing institutional practices with Charter & Code principles.

Research institutes who have integrated the principles of the Charter & Code in their Human Resources policy are awarded with the right to use the “HR Excellence in Research” logo.

190 European research institutes have been awarded with the right to use the “HR Excellence in Research” logo.
