Faroese food shall be a market based, economically and ecologically sustainable business; a business that consciously utilises the Faroese advantages in areas of raw materials, technology, quality and competence.
In order to achieve this goal, it is important to develop a research environment with competence at an international level on areas of natural and economic sciences, marketing and management of natural resources.
Production of good, safe, nourishing food requires cooperation and holistic thinking throughout the different links in the value chain, based on cooperation between research institutes, private enterprises and the authorities. Insight into governmental industrial policy and international frameworks are essential.
